Internship Placement for Fall 2026 Term

Location: Remote - Province-wide

Number of placements: 1

Salary: $18 /hour

Hours per week: Flexible (10-20 hours)

Placement Duration: September - December 2026

Department: Department of Health - Talent Recruitment Division / International Recruitment, Services and Programs Unit

Placement Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical student to support our department with data entry, analysis, and reporting. This role will contribute to evidence-based decision-making by transforming quantitative data into meaningful insights. The position also supports initiatives related to the international recruitment of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain data integrity.
  • Analyze datasets and generate reports to support departmental decision-making.
  • Translate quantitative findings into clear, concise summaries and presentations.
  • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting metrics related to international recruitment programs.
  • Support administrative tasks related to the unit's programs.

Need to have:

  • Language requirement: English
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program, such as:
    • Business Administration (e.g., Analytics, Management, or Finance streams)
    • Data Analytics or Data Science
    • Statistics or Mathematics
    • Health Administration or Health Informatics
    • Economics or Public Administration
    • Computer Science or Information Systems

 

Nice to have:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data visualization)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information appropriately.
