The Office of the Attorney General is seeking an individual to provide administrative support in both official languages for the Legal Services Branch in Fredericton. 

What you will do
As a member of the Legal Services Branch, the successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Branch including to lawyers and management.  

Who you are
The position requires a motivated individual with excellent organizational skills and the ability to assume a wide variety of duties. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and must perform administrative functions in an exact manner with minimum supervision. Candidates must be comfortable working in a legal environment. 

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Need to have:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required, and a minimum of one-year related post-secondary education. A minimum of five (5) years of administrative work experience is also required.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal history clearance and security clearance check

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following operational requirement is also required:

  • Given the nature of this position, candidates must possess advanced written and oral communication skills in both French and English

Nice to Have (their asset qualifications)

  • Experience working with confidential and/or legal documents
  • Experience working in a legal setting

Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

  • Full competency in Microsoft Office Suite

Wage

$1816-$2205 Biweekly based on education and experience

Work environment

  • Office location: 675 King Street, Chancery Place, Fredericton
  • Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30
  • Working outside of regular hours may be required on occasion
